Terrible warranty response

Given that Oreck has closed their stores I had find an authorized dealer to service our vacuum. It was over 40 miles away. Almost 3 months have gone by and the dealer still has not received the ok to proceed to work on the vacuum. Plus when I called "customer service" about this delay I was advised they are not allowed to contact warranty department. Hmmm, guess Oreck has an unusual definition of customer service. User's recommendation: good machine but don't expect to ever get it fixed.
