Falsly accused of committing a crime

3

When leaving the store security asked, "you got the bill for that"? When I asked what they meant, they asked if I paid for everything in my cart. I said yes, of course! Then the said okay and gestured that I could go. If I wasn't in shock I would have pulled out the receipt and had them go through it all line by line. To ask someone if they are a thief, accusing them of committing a crime as casual conversation is highly insulting. User's recommendation: Have your receipt ready!!
