Outrageous overcharge

For almost the entire month of June, I've been trying to contact someone on the Avis customer service line. I rent a car from the Avis rental car in Chicago 3721 North Broadway on June 4, 2021 until June 7, 2021. My total amount was $179.68. I called and told them that I would be late returning the vehicle. It was suppose to be back at 3PM. I brought it back at 3:50PM and a few days later on my credit card I was charged $224.79. When I went into the facility to question the charge, I was told it was a late charge because I had went over the time to return the vehicle. Due to the fact that I went over 24 hours. My problem with that is I can understand 2 to 8 hours. But 50 minutes is less than a hour. 60 minutes is a hour not 50. User's recommendation: check with them to see they will be petty enough to charge you for being a few minutes late. SMH.
