I just discovered today, 2 years after purchase of a 22KW generator, that the 10 year extended warranty promotion offered at the time of purchase, was not honored/allowed. All paperwork (application, bill of sale ect.) was mailed (USPS) to Generac in a timely manner, at the time of purchase but they claim they never received. I was told that the promotion had expired and there was no way to resubmit though I have copies of all that was initially submitted. Their Customer Service Dept is there to give YOU the Business. They are there to protect Generac's interests and couldn't give a rat's *** about the customer. I will NEVER buy another Generac item. resubmt User's recommendation: On any promotion, verify with Generac they have received all required paperwork, that it is in good order and get a formal, traceable acknowledgement.
