P1210 Alarm failure in less than one year

We replaced all of the smoke alarms in our home in 2018. The units are marked "2018 Jun 12" which we assume is the date the unit was built. In less than one year it has failed and of course in the middle of the night. It beeps several times and then stops. Then a couple of hours later it beeps again. Obviously, this unit is defective. How do we receive a replacement?
