Update by user Apr 28, 2020 Academy's district manager called me and apologized for my inconvenience. He made sure that the safe I wanted was in the store with my name on it ready for pickup at the sale price. He also gave me an additional discount for the mishap. It must have been an error by an uninformed employee. Original review posted by user Apr 26, 2020 I called the Academy store about a gun safe listed on line as a Hot Deal for $599.99 on 4/23/2020. It was a STACK-ON TOTAL DEFENSE 40 GUN WATER PROOF AND FIRE PROOF SAFE. It was supposed to be in stock at the SLIDELL, LA. STORE. I called to confirm and was told that they had two, but they were broken and were being sent back to the factory. So I said that I guess that you don't have any to sell at the price advertised. They answered that is right. This is the second time this has happened to me with the same store. The first time a very nice lady contacted me and made good on the sale. To say that I am a dissatisfied customer is an under statement. User's recommendation: Do like me, my family, and friends. SHOP ELSEWHERE.
