The worst buying experience ever
After visiting several dealerships, we were extremely disappointed when we said we were paying cash. They refused to deal with us, and jumped the MSRP price up by a minimum of $2000. On a $24000 truck, the taxes and fees put it up to $31,000. So, we decided to try the Costco Auto Program. That was a bigger joke. The same new truck with the exact same color, package, etc., was $27,677 which was the Costco discount included. The only dealership they deal with is Chapman Chevrolet. By the time they got done with all the taxes and fees, it jumped up to $31,998. Our new car buying experiences has given us an extremely bad taste. After coming home and doing my homework, the only way you can get a deal on a new car is to finance it, that is the way the dealerships make their money. They don't want cash buyers, of which I learned the hard way.
