Warranty work on my ryobi lawnmower

just less than a year and the lawnmower will not self propel. home depot does not repair and instead wants to ship to Atlanta for the next 4-6 weeks. we are out of a lawnmower. i then found a company that services Ryobi so that any work would be covered under warranty is this the best Ryobi can do?
