I am trying to refinance my home and my consultant advise that the appraisal fee needed to be paid up front and could not be added to the closing of my loan. He said the fee was $500. I explained that being on a fixed income meant that money is tight. I kept asking him to see if it could be added to my loan closing. I checked my bank account and found that the company had taken $560 instead.
