Paying exorbitant fees to do your family search, I know nothing is for free. But once you pay for membership and input family members into your tree, you should be able to keep adding on those people with available hints. Not having to renew all the time to add those hints. If you want to add a new tree, sure, sign up, but keep adding dollars to the ones you one you have already added isn't going to happen for me. Also, most American's ancestry is from other countries and that's where they get you too. If I want to search my grandparents I have to get the world access package for mega bucks a month, just to add their hints. User's recommendation: Spend the "trial" time searching as many of your ancestors that you can, then Google them. I find a lot of my ancestors show up in Wiki or other public sites.
