Being told repeatedly that the system has heavy traffic volume and try again later, not acceptable

I had a subscription for a few years and let it expire as I found Myheritage records do not contain any of my father's ancestors so it was useless. But I had a message from someone that thought we had a family connection but the only way I could answer back was to pay again for a new subscription but now every time I'm looking at records it freezes and tells me there is heavy traffic volume and try again in 1 or 2 hours. Well it's been 4 hours and I still get the same message and quite frankly I'm not happy. I didn't pay to not be able to use the site when I want to, it's very inconvenient to say the least, and totally unacceptable. User's recommendation: Do not recommend.
