Sun Power Soar Company; I lease a system from Sun Power and have been with them for several years now. Before we agreed to the system we had a new roof installed and Hooked on Solar went through our electric bills from PGE and determined what we needed to offset our electric bills. After the panels were installed we noticed a significant decrease in our power bills for about 3 years. Then their would be a spike every so often of around a thousand dollar electric bill to PGE above and beyond the solar fees. We complained to Sun Power who has the contract to our system and they kept saying it was something we were doing or we have some faulty utilities or we were using to much power. This went on for awhile but the bills kept getting more and more expensive until this year when we received a 2,900 dollar bill from PGE. Sun Power sent a tech to test the system and he found a short in the system. Sun power said they would have someone come and check but they just drug their feet and finally a crew chief called me and said they were going to replace some of the Panels on our roof. He told me that the electrical components were shorting out and not working properly. I ask if that would draw extra power from the grid since we have such a large PGE bill and he said that It certainly could cause that kind of a problem. After the panels were installed I have tried to contact Sun Power customer service many times now and keep getting the runaround and no one to give my any kind of answer to see if they are going to reimburse us for such a high electric bill. One of the representatives told me that they sent me an answer via email and that I answered and agreed to something. I told her that the email address they sent it to was no longer a good address for me for many years now and I did not answer back or receive any communication from them. I called again and another lady in their answering service told me that they are going compensate us for $381.00 and that they went back 3 years and determined that amount. These are the years that we had increasing electric bills that they did not research the problem or repair it. I tried again last Monday June 14th 2021 to contact the corporate office and was kept on hold for about 45 minutes waiting to talk with a manager or at least a supervisor, the receptionist came back on a couple times and the last time he said that a manager would call me back and made sure he had my phone number. I have yet to receive a call back or any communication from them to date. I am very disappointed in this company and their lack of professionalism not to mention the amount of money it is costing us. We are not rich people and it is really putting an hardship on us and I feel that the Sun Power should be responsible for the problems and defects in their system. User's recommendation: Do not use them.
