We had a monitronics account on our home in Nashville TN. The contract was for 2 years but we moved in one year (though we still owned the property). We terminated the contract early and PAID A PENALTY. (This is important). The service was turned off. It is now 9 years later and we received a collections notice that an unpaid bill from Monitronics was sent to collections. We received a similar notice about 3 years ago and paid it. We have not heard anything from them until we received yet another threatening bill from a collections agency. User's recommendation: This is a scam company.
