Unability to add cash in stores

I found information on internet that it's possible to add cash to Cash Card in CVS Seven Eleven and other stores but today when I went to CVS and Seven Eleven salespersons told me that my card can not be used in their stores.Still is it possible to add cash to Cash Card in above mentioned stores? User's recommendation: How to load money in stores.
