Apply for a secured card and was denied due to my salary

Why was I Denied a secured Credit card when it would have been my own personal money I would have been spending because of my salary. I think Had i saying or put down that I was actually wealthy I would have instantly been approved which I think falls under the law of discrimination due to race religion gender etc. And due to this I will continue use my current bank and Will not recommend Capital One to anyone.
