Continuous Backordered Sofa

Hello, I ordered a sofa on July 8, 2021. I have received an email every Wednesday morning for 4 weeks saying this sofa is backordered to a later estimated delivery date. My suggestion is instead of sending this weekly, why not be honest and upfront from the beginning and tell me the REAL estimated delivery date so a customer like myself can make an informed decision whether we are willing to wait or not. What is the delay with this sofa?
