Wrongful Termination, Racism issues
This message is in regards to the wrongful termination by Branch Management Thomas Deason in Beaumont Texas in which a lawsuit is currently being set and this is to ensure Ive went through all chains of commands with the company before proceeding further with racism lawsuit I (Adry D Oakley) was wrongfully terminated for having to go home and check on my pregnant fiancé who is dealing with the recent passing of her grandmother in which I advised the district management Beau Gilbert of the issue but he relayed to the Branch Management Thomas Deason that I quit. I did have my fiancée on the phone as I had my final meeting with Mr. Deason Thursday morning (7-22-21) with the Lead Merch Ashli in the office as well as I tried to explain to Mr. Deason my reason for leaving on a lunch break to check on my pregnant wife and returning he stated I was not answer calls or texted from anyone as they were and have been aware since May of 2021 that my job cellular device could not connect to calls or messaging and before I could explain what was going he ( Mr. Deason) went on to state "it doesn't matter you have no legs to stand on I have nothing for you you are unprofessional and I don't need you here". At that point I honestly didn't need to say anything more because I did not want to say anything more to where personal feelings would be involved so I told him thanks and walked out. When I finally spoke with him the previous day before termination he answered the phone hollering and screaming stating I did not do my work in which was not true I told him MerchDay app would definitely show otherwise which my have been removed by Thomas Deason or Beau Gilbert upon returning my device but I also have pictures saved in my personal phone for that day up until completion and he continued to holler while i tried to tend to my fiancée so I hung the phone up and advised I would go to branch and speak with him in person and the things stated above happened once at the branch. My fiancée has the recording of me and Mr. Deasons conversation which he did not know was being recorded while I was being belittled in his office before termination but I just did not want it to be put as I quit from Keurig Dr.Pepper when I did not I tried to fight for my job, I've never had any issues, write ups or any client problems with the company since being with them until that day and being wrongfully terminated for tending to a grieving panicking pregnant fiancée when there are others merchandisers with 2 or more write ups for dress code poor work and more in no means is a means for termination. The guys working now are being forced to work 6 days mandatory and that's not lawfully correct either in which I am aware of but I just wanted to let someone know what was going on in the Beaumont area and why so many people like myself are not staying with the company. You guys have passionate hard merchandisers and salesman's that are being over worked and not being properly trained or being given any incentives for everything that they are doing, if possible I would definitely love to speak to someone more regarding the matter because I was wrongfully terminated and this is not a plead for unemployment or anything of that nature this is just a matter of wrongful termination in which if nothing is done regarding Mr. Deason or Mr. Gilbert then I will go further with this matter. I am African American and can also say Ive been there 3 years and within that time there is a man thats been with that Branch 9 years and Mr. Deason fails to promote him but instead hires others from a Houston branch in which Mr. Deasons management Emmett unaware of Mr. Emmetts last name protects Mr. Deasons with the covering ups of saying all employees are quitting when only majority the whites are leaving and the blacks are being terminated and stamped as saying they are quitting. This is unfair and definitely has to be stopped, I have recordings, pictures and more on the issues that I will keep until these proceedings are to be pushed forward, thanks. Adry Oakley Phone 337-515-**** User's recommendation: I would not apply for any position in Beaumont or Alexandria Texas under Thomas Deason management if you are African American you will not go beyond a Account Managers position.
