My appliances were sold to someone else
If you plan to buy your appliances at Western Appliance on West San Carlos, San Jose, beware!!! Make sure you get them delivered when you can, otherwise, do not trust them to hold them for you if you are not ready to install them right away. They end up selling them to other customers, and when you need them, you have to wait until they get reordered. The day before our delivery, one of the managers, Robert Ortiz, called us to say that the range was on "backorder" and will not be delivered with the rest of the articles. Instead of being honest and polite, he immediately adopted an aggressive and belligerent attitude, stated the facts and didn't allow for any negative reaction, saying "don't interrupt me, I told you not to interrupt me," "I can't snap my fingers and get it for you." When I asked him what he proposes to do next, he said he can expedite the order and it may take a week, maybe more. It was clear that he was not prepared to listen to me and he simply hung up on me in the middle of the conversation. We decided to get a refund and buy our appliances somewhere else. It was another manager, Eric Moir, who was very polite and considerate, and helped us as much as possible. He agreed to refund us the money. On a positive note, at an earlier date when we had other appliances delivered from Western Appliance, they were very carefully handled by the delivery guys and I have only good things to say about their neatness and professionalism.
