I often stop by to deposit checks. That’s one of my favorite banks. As a rule I bring 1 or 2 checks. And it takes about 20–30 minutes to deal with them. But today I brought 5 checks. And it took them more than an hour to cope with that. According to their rules, they scan each and every check. That was not a rush hour and there were 3 more cashiers available. So I turned to their manager and asked whether she could send anyone to help the teller dealing with my checks. But she said that it would be against their rules. In her opinion, it would be disrespectful to other clients. Which clients? There was only one client except me in the room, and he left the next minute. But they made me wait for about an hour. Strange rules…
