At about 630 am today 9/8/20 I entered Giant on new falls rd in Levittown,Pa. I am handicapped, a senior, and unable to ambulate(that means walk) the only 1 electric cart located by the entrance was plugged in but blinking(on the no charge but charging mode). I know after 15 yrs of having to use these electric carts that when they're blinking, they stop working usually in the middle of an isle where no one is around. So, out of the 3 guys who where standing around in front of the produce section, I asked for help. 2 of those guys scurried off quickly, n the guy that was left came over cause again I asked for help. he looked at the cart and said "it's blinking cause its plugged in so I pulled the plug, still blinking. I said its not charged(15 yrs I 've been doin this) and he said its got some charge on it (light still not green) I asked him politely if he could get me another cart and his reply was "oh you can use this one and if it breaks down we'll come push you" (WTF) and again pleadingly I said would you PLEASE go get me another cart, I really can't walk and after 15 yrs of doing this I know the carts won't make it. So, he finally got it for me. I was there to get water. So I got 3 cases of water and guess what? no one around to help me get the water so I had to pull the water from the shelf onto my lap then down onto the floor of the cart. So I finally make my way to self checkout and no gun to record the water.Cashier came after a few seconds to scan water cause I can't lift the case. ok so maybe I'm expecting too much from your employees but cashier didn't't bother to ask if I needed help to load water into my car.Easy to see I was alone and on a handicap cart. so I get to my car and guess what? No one outside to help so I had to pull case up off floor of cart onto my lap then push into my car. I have spinal cord compression in my low back, high fall risk because of that nerve compression and recently discovered 4 herniated and 2 bulging discs that are also compressing my spinal cord in my neck so I shouldn't be lifting anything. So I'de like to express my overwhelming disappointment in the way your employees value your customers. I'de liken my trip to your store as my own personal piece of *** As expensive as it is to shop at your stores, I'de expect some kind of respect from the people that work there instead of neglect. I would also like to comment on your store hours for seniors during covid. While it is admirable to keep high risk seniors separate from the rest of the public, not ALL old people are up to shop at 6 in the morning and not ALL old people are able to sprint thru your stores in an effort to get their shopping done in under an hour but, BULLY for you for keeping your profit margins up!!! User's recommendation: Don't come alone if you're old and handicapped!!!
