They make their own rules if your flight cancels your flight. My parents flight were on May 25th. It had cancelled because of the virus. We called them and wanted to rebook it. They wanted us to pay extra $300 for 2 passengers even if cancellation was not our fault. Couple days later that flight was cancelled too. I called them and I asked what we could do. They said there was no way to rebook, and they wanted me to call Lufthansa to process rebooking. I was so pissed. I called Lufthansa and I ask if this rebooking cannot be made. Lufthansa told me Who said that to you? It is not your fault that flight has been cancelled. They probably wanted more money to rebook. But it is free. And gentleman helped us in 5 minutes and took our flight tickets. 4 days ago, that flight was cancelled too. I called CHEAPoair, and they told me, due to cancellation for this booking, I will get money back. But Lufthansa was not open on weekend they told me to call them during the weekdays. On Monday first thing I did call Lufthansa. They told me that no problem to get money back, but they cannot issue refund due to purchase was made by 3rd party. I called Cheapo air today and representative put me on hold to talk to Lufthansa over an hour. He got back to me and first thing he said Lufthansa does not answer their phone. But somehow he was sure that cancellation could not be made. I explained him Lufthansa said it is possible. He insists that was not possible, and he wanted me to call Cheapo air back another time. He shut down the line while I was talking. I really am so angry. This company just steals customers money and no make return for protecting their own back. We had to get other flight tickets from Turkish Airlines. Spent 5K more to send my parents home. We spent $10.000 just to go back home because of poor customer service of Cheapo air. I have learned, you could never buy any tickets from a company starts with Cheap. Seriously! User's recommendation: do not make a mistake like I did, do not buy your flight tickets from them.
