wrong oil put in audi a3 quattro 2017 models
*SOLVED

To Whom It May Concern: On 6/5/2019 I visited two different Tire Kingdom service centers in Florida (Doral and Pembroke Pines locations) to receive a scheduled oil change for my Audi A3 Quatro Sedan 2017 model. Both locations confirmed that the Tire Kingdom Corporate System states that this car model should receive 0w20 engine oil. That is incorrect. I confirmed with Audi Corporate and several Audi service centers that this model Audi should only receive 5w40 full synthetic engine oil. I happened to call Audi to check with my car warranty after dropping off my car at the Doral location to be serviced and I was informed that if any oil other than the 5w40 oil is placed in my vehicle that I will lose my warranty. I immediately called the Doral Tire Kingdom and told them to halt all work and not to place the 0w20 in my car. At the Tire Kingdom Doral location, I was informed by Roberto that the oil had been drained already on my vehicle but he refused to put the 5w40 oil in my vehicle because it went against Tire Kingdom Corporate System. The Doral location also stated that they always put the 0w20 oil in all model Audis like mine that are serviced at their center. I refused to have the oil change with the 0w20 oil and they returned my vehicle to me and I was not charged for any service at the Doral Center. Roberto said the autobody workers placed the same drained oil back in my vehicle, but I was told at the Pembroke Pines location that this is not possible and the 0w20 was probably put in my vehicle. Kevin at Tire Kingdom in Pembroke Pines (17203 Pines Blvd location) was very diligent and researched the Audi manufacturer recommendation directly. He agreed that the required oil for my vehicle is the 5w40 oil contrary to what it said in his Tire Kingdom Corporate System that indicated 0w20 for my vehicle. He authorized the oil change with the 5w40 thankfully and I was charged for the service. I contacted Tire Kingdom Corporate and Bryan Juzwiak admitted the fault and stated they will correct the error in their system. Both Tire Kingdom service centers also admitted the fault. I expect to be duly compensated for this significant error in the Tire Kingdom system and for the increased work, time, and distress this caused me to bring this to Tire Kingdom's attention, acknowledgement, and to receive the correct service for my Audi A3 Quatro Sedan 2017. This could have completely broken my vehicle engine, put me and my family's safety at risk, and put me at significant additional financial cost had I not insisted that the Tire Kingdom Service Center System was incorrect and had allowed the service center to proceed with with the oil change with the 0w20. Tire Kingdom will be held responsible for any engine issues or related issues my vehicle suffers as a result from this discrepancy had any oil other than 5w40 been placed in my car by any Tire Kingdom Service Center. This has been quite an ordeal that I never expected to experience with a recognized business in the auto industry. As a repeat client, I expect Tire Kingdom to due their part to salvage my patronage and reinstate my faith in the competency of this company. I would appreciate it if one of Tire Kingdom's corporate representatives would reach out to me directly to rectify this issue and provide due compensation for this ordeal. Thank you. Sincerely, Alia W.
