Wouldn’t help me and wouldn’t give me a refund
I use to really enjoy Newspaperarchive.com. On May 7, 2019 I was searching the archives when suddenly the paper wouldn't bring up any searches. I tried and tried. The search engine was different. I tried restarting my computer and that didn't help. I tried logging out and logging back in. At first it let me log back in but still wouldn't search for anything or bring any search up. I tried contacting customer service and a guy named Christian asked me in email what was wrong. He had me send screen shots. I told him on the May 8 if I couldn't get into my account then I would close it down and just give me the money back for the four months I had left on my membership. I thought I should be able to get it back since I couldn't get access to something I paid for an couldn't use. He cancelled my account but told me my was not getting a partial refund and was told my account was just fine. I guess Christian didn't believe me when I told him I couldn't log in and somehow thought I was lying. It's too bad because I would have probably stayed a member for years because I used the site quite often. That is another question I was asked was I logging into the correct address. I had been there how many times and suddenly didn't know where I was. He could have sent a link to let me reset my password or reset my account because I actually wanted to retain my membership. But no he told me that my account was good until Sept. 13, of 2019, but he cancelled it, and told me I wasn't getting any refund and that I was "banned" from contacting them again. That's how bad this place wants temporary money gain but not a permanent customer. I didn't say cancel me I want money back. I understood the rules but I figured if I couldn't get in to something that wasn't my own fault that I was entitled to a partial refund. And they have no phone number that you can contact them for customer service and that alone should say volumes.
