Worst Shipping Company

Is Estes paying you people to delete my reviews? If I could give them zero stars I would. Absolutely no respect whatsoever for consumers merchandise. Had a $3000.00 kayak shipped from Texas to New Jersey. Arrived promptly to Philadelphia four days later. Sat at their terminal for three days. Called to see what the issue was and was told it was being transferred to their "residential delivery department" and I would be contacted. Was finally contacted and my scheduled delivery would be between 9am and 5pm. I asked could I get a better idea when it might be there so I can make arrangements to leave my job. She said no, and that that the driver would contact me one hour prior. As expected no prior notice, driver called from my house asking where I was. Scrambled to leave work and meet driver at my house. Strange truck in front of house. Not Estes, some other company. Find out that this so called "residential delivery service" is not even Estes! They outsource to another company. They don't want you to know this. In fact the company that I purchased it from did not even know. Driver just stood there and watched as this 61 year old man struggled to drag this 100lb kayak off his truck. Did not even offer to help! Half way out the truck I happen to see that all the cardboard is gone and that most of the shrinkwrap is torn to shreds. Upon closer inspection, found forklift marks one side, numerous gouges and scrapes. One side was even dented like they were running into it with the forklift. This company could care less about customer service! It is a shame that companies that use Estes are getting bad reviews and its not even their fault. The company is making good and sending another kayak out with another shipping company and they told me they are in the process of dropping Estes and going with someone else because 90% of their phone calls are from damaged items. DO NOT USE ESTES!! Reason of review: Damaged or defective. Monetary Loss: $3000. Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
