Update by user Dec 28, 2018 HiThanks for your email. But no one tried to contact me or replied me back. So as I discussed before that Snap Fitness Gym of Queenstown in New Zealand. I went to gym and asked to freeze my account as was suggested by doctor to stop gym and I asked the person sitting on the counter if in case I still would not be able to continue gym after few weeks, how much notice is required to cancel my membership and I got suggested two week notice. So according to that information I gave them two weeks of notice by email but after 2-3 days I got email from them that I need to go to gym and see them. But I was out of town so couldn’t make it but when I came back I went to gym but no one was on the counter . I stayed for 2-3 minutes and then left. Then I called them and someone told me I need to come to gym fill cancelation for and give them 4 weeks of notice “as they don’t accept email or notice over phone” but I told them that I was suggested for two weeks of notice . But the person over other side on phone was very rude and keep saying no . Then I went to gym two guys were sitting on counter one was over phone, so I approached to other guy and told him I want to cancel my membership and how much notice is required he said two weeks. Suddenly other guy over taking him said no its 4 weeks of notice and you talked to me over phone. Till that other guy had already confirmed twice that it is two weeks of notice. But then he joined his mate and said yeah 4 weeks it is our policy and they both together were very rude, unprofessional (as I was trying to explain that I am moved to other city, I come here just for my job as I work 4 days a week and I have 3 and half years old daughter, who goes to daycare I have to drop her pick her up, so I am very short on time. But I came here couple of weeks ago and didn’t find anyone on counter , so I left. So they said you are lying how long you waited for.? How long I needed to wait for.?) They are not customer oriented at all. According to my notice I shouldn’t pay them anything, but they deducted my $110 , which is very unfair and not acceptable at all. I feel ripped off. They really are disgusting and I had worst experience with them. No one has right to insult other person and say you are lying and rude. I want my money back and step should be taken so that no one else ever go through the humiliation as I went through.Looking forward for your reply. But after few days I got email back from them that I need to go and see them in the gym to cancel my membership, but I was not in the town, So couldn’t go. Finally called them and then over phone they said I need to go get cancellation form fill it up and give them 4 weeks of notice. But why their is different informations. They already charged me for two weeks of extra money from my account and gonna charge me for more 4 weeks. This is disgusting, ripping of people. So in short, I have given them proper notice on time, but still they are charging me for extra 6 weeks. I am very unhappy for the services. They are not customer oriented and don’t help their customers at all. Who has time these days to go in their office and tell them that “I WANT TO CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP “ emails and phone have made everyone’s life easy. Moreover when I went to see them in gym two guys were sitting on the counter one of them said 2 weeks of notice and 2nd guy overtaking him said 4 weeks of notice. I can’t pay $100 extra if they are lack of information & training. I told them I evenly came earlier to see them in gym but no one was on the counter but they said, “if no one was on the counter, how long you waited here for some one”. I didn’t knew all this rubbish before I joined gym. I am very unhappy and un statisfied with these people . They are very unprofessional.
