Women, don’t go alone to this place!

As a woman, I felt very intimidated by the employees at the Atlantic Blvd location. I asked them repeatedly to drop my car so I can go, but they didn't do it. I felt very uncomfortable and worried... Let me tell you what happened leading to this situation. My car was just at the dealership for an oil change. Upon their inspection of my vehicle, they identified that my rotors need to be resurfaced; which makes sense since my car was shaking when I braked. Their quote was around $1500 to replace all 4 rotors and all 4 Brembo brake pads. They advised me that I only need to have my rotors resurfaced and that my brake pads were in great condition. Ok, but I wanted a 2nd opinion anyways. I called the 888 number for brakes 4 less and set up an appointment with the Atlantic store location. The person on the phone said it would be $50 per rotor to be resurfaced. He then transfers me to the "store manager," Dennis. I spoke with Dennis and told him what I wanted and he said they can do it for $40 a rotor... even better. So I made my appointment for 4:30pm that day. I show up at 4:30pm and was unsure if I should park in the front or back. The building looked dark and I didn't see anyone inside. I drove around back and then to the front again and didn't see anyone. Then someone popped out of the building and directed me to park in the back. I walk in to the dark "office," and saw the man behind the counter. He didn't acknowledge me. There was no one else in the building. So I brushed it aside and introduced myself and said I was here for my appointment. The guy looked confused like I was speaking a different language. So I had to repeat myself again. Finally he asked for my key. Within the span of less than 5 minutes he directs me outside to speak with another gentleman. It was very difficult to understand him because of his thick accent and he spoke so fast. I asked him to slow down and he told me I need to replace all my brake pads and rotors. He then proceeded to tell me to touch the rotors. I told him no and explained what the dealership told me. Also, how can anyone make that assessment within just a few minutes without even looking at all of the rotors or brake pads? It would make sense to replace everything, I get it; however, they were very aggressive. I felt uncomfortable. Here I was with one guy on each side of my, aggressively telling me I need to have everything replaced while my car is up on the lift. I repeatedly told them to drop my car so that I can speak with my husband first. They didn't listen. I said no thanks I don't want their service and still they didn't drop my car. They kept telling me I need to replace them now. An uncomfortable situation just turned scary. Finally after my insistent protests, they dropped the car and reversed it. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I drove home shaking and crying. No one, especially a woman, should have to feel this way. Avoid these guys, especially if you are by yourself.
