“Wireless” Mouse is not “Wireless”

3

I got my mouse yesterday. I plugged in the USB cord and charged the mouse. I unplugged the USB cord and plugged in the USB adapter. The mouse is fully charged, but no movement whatsoever after an overnight charging. All three lights on the mouse are lit up, bot no movement after UNPLUGGING the usb cord from the mouse itself. I tried plugging the adapter back in the cord with the three prongs, one being power, and placing it near the mouse like it says in the directions. The only way it works is when the USB cord is directly plugged into the mouse.
