Will not give me credit for a booking I paid $1182.80 when I cancelled due to no fault of own

Delta cancelled a flight by mistake. I called and notified Ibis, the desk clerk pretended to not speak English. Finance called and she hung up on him. So they were notified and feel they should give me credit to stay there at later date due to this as I am remaking my air reservation whichDelta gave me credit for since their mistake. User's recommendation: do not pay in advance to IBIS hotels.
