Where do I begin? Take your business elsewhere!!

Where do I begin? How about with a clear warning to NOT use this service unless you have a lot of time and patience to waste! Let me try to summarize: 1. Had to jump start our car a few times and brought it to Auto Zone. Battery test passed but starter test failed. 2. Brought the car to the dealership for an oil change. They ran a battery test, which passed, but did not have time to do additional diagnostics. 3. Hired Your Mechanic to replace the starter. The appointment had to be pushed back because they insisted on using OEM parts that needed to be ordered. 4. Starter installed by Your Mechanic. Afterwards, the car didn't sound right, but I thought maybe it takes a while to break it in. 5. Less than 2 weeks later while on a family road trip to SoCal, we had to jump start the car twice in one day. 6. Called Your Mechanic to send someone to our hotel to do an inspection. Mechanic told us 1 hour before the scheduled appointment that he was not going to be able to make it. Rather than sacrifice more vacation time, we bought a battery booster to use for the rest of our trip (had to jump start the car about 6 more times before reaching home). 7. Called Your Mechanic once back home to schedule an inspection. They wanted to send the same mechanic to review his own work! Umm, can we say "conflict of interest?" 3 phone calls and 2 emails later, they finally sent a different mechanic. 8. Second mechanic said our battery was bad. But then when I asked him about the car not sounding right since the starter was replaced, he recorded in his report that it sounded like the car was double-starting, but told me he's not an expert on the make of our car and doesn't know what it should sound like. Why send someone who has no experience with your car to inspect the prior work done on your car? 9. Brought the car back to the dealership to have the battery replaced (still under warranty), and they knew right away that the car did not sound right when they started it. Upon further examination, they documented with pictures and in writing that the starter that was installed was NOT an OEM part, but an aftermarket part. Let me remind you that I PAID AND WAITED FOR AN OEM PART!! 10. I had the dealership replace the starter and all is right again. I filed a claim with the warranty department and requested a full refund. Today, exactly one month and one day after Your Mechanic replaced my starter, my refund was finally issued. As a wife and working mom of 3, I value efficiency. I thought having a mechanic come to my house would save time and money. I learned that sometimes a little more money and effort go a long way. I may have received a refund, but I will never get back all the wasted time spent on this company in the last month. Not to mention the unnecessary stress and frustration that came with it! BOTTOM LINE: TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!
