What did you people expect?

I graduated from Western Career College back in 1994 in Medical Assistant. Back then, the school was much better and I did quite well for myself. However, the school only cost $5, 500 back then. What I do not understand is: why would someone pay $26, 000 to enroll in an ultrasound technology program that IS NOT ACCREDITED! How retarded are you? I mean, does anybody ever do any research on these programs before signing a contract for $26, 000? You guys have the Internet, for God sake. So, it is not like you have to leave your house to research the school. Before I enrolled in Western Career College, this is what I did. I CALLED HOSPITALS AND ASKED THEM, "I am considering enrolling into Western Career College, Would you hire a graduate from this school? Have you hired graduates from this school and were you happy with the results? Would I need any form of certification to be hired in your center. Thank you very much for the help." IT IS THAT SIMPLE PEOPLE. I have been scammed before (credit offer with a $250 dollar up-front payment. I lost the $250) and I think it sucks for hard working people to be scammed out of their money, especially in a recession. But come on, you really have no one to blame but yourselves. To spend $16, 000-$26, 000 on the promise of a salesman and a brochure, without verifying any of it by calling hospitals or researching it on the Internet was just lazy on your part. I hope it is a lesson learned.
