We were cut off due to unpaid bill. However our bills should be paid by direct debit

We have a direct debit order to pay Movistar, however our telephone was cut off. My husband paid the bill as he managed to get to Spain. However, the bill is in my name and he cannot query the bill which appears to be very high. No on-line chat to help me sort this out as I am still in UK. Very poor service, have to write a review to get attention!!
