We bought a points type vacation package from raintree in club regina mexico. We were convinced that it was everything we ever dreamed of. So far we have paid in full the package price plus maintenance fees since 2008. (it is now 2011) We have never used any part of our package... because We either never had enough points, or the additional fees are equal to the cost of booking ourselves and paying full price in a differant hotel, or nothing was available at the time. As I sit in my home (now a 18foot travel trailer) I reflect on the fact that I can not just walk away from this. I am held under contact to keep paying year after year for something that shames me. I will be paying my loan for years to come. I will never use this package and so far have not found a way out. Every time I remember about this I feel my insides recoil. ...I feel like such a fool, I am ashamed and embarassed ...a feeling I would pay to be rid of, but instead pay to keep.
