Warranty is a joke.
Warranty Department employees must be paid based on the number of warranty claims they deny. It all sounds great- they fill out forms, come by to "inspect" take pictures, do walk-throughs, but no work actually gets done. We have had meeting with Richmond warranty employees in our home and they flat-out lied to our faces. Their word is not good. These are not people of integrity and are not to be trusted. We have had warranty issue d that are still unresolved after 16 months. There is a lot of staff turnover which complicates the matter and there is just no follow through. All we have gotten is apologies and excuses. User's recommendation: DON'T DO IT! No matter how much you like the floor plan of the neighborhood, DO NOT buty a Richmond Home unless you have exhausted every other possible option. If you MUST purchase a Richmond Home for some reason, get everythign in writing, and document every detail thoroughly. Assume everything a Richmond employee says to you is a lie.
