WARRANT HUNTER FAN – Company admitted that the product was defective…. very difficult

PURCHASED a Warrant Hunter Fan which is beautiful and had it installed by a certified electrician company we always use. The fan would not work properly &;;;;;;;; after MANY calls to Hunter Customer Svc they admitted that there were problems with the receivers. Since the fan was installed in a room with high ceilings and after about 2 months of back and forth calls to Hunter and finally a replacement was reluctantly sent we had to incur the cost to have the electrician come back and install. He recommended we not use the remote so only the outlet control could be used. We were just appalled with Hunter's lack of responsibility for their defective product. Being in the building business Hunter is on my 'no fly' list. Our electrician confirmed that this particular fan has had problems in other homes. Very very sad that a company of such long standing was so reluctant help further.
