I fill there should be some kind of investigation of Kaisers allowing drs. to prescribe certain MEDICATION with severe side effects on different people. there is a high blood pressure medication that is being subscribed by the drs. at Kaiser is is Licinopril for high blood pressure. One internal Dr. told his patient that this is the only medicine he could give a person for their blood pressure. They also prescribed 40mgs to start the person on, not knowing how it would effect the person by trying a lower dose first and if necessary a higher dose. Later the person had bad reactions to medicine the dr. would not change the medication, or try another type of medicine. Patient continue to complain no results after another dr. sees the patient on call and does series of test they find that the patients Kidneys are effected , this being one of the side effects of taking the medication. the medication Licinopril has been studied to be one of the worst blood pressure medication you can take for your blood pressure especially Black African americans. SO my question why does Kaiser still allow the drs. to prescribe this medication to Black African americans with high blood pressure ? I believe that there has been complaints and no action about this. I am speaking up because is seems to be a research practice for some of Kaisers Drs. and they are using people unknowingly in their clinical trials. This is not a good practice in our medical society, it is as if Kaisers practice is to just maintain different illness and not to prevent worse conditions.
