I am bringing to your attention the despicable way I have been treated recently. This problem started when I attempted to place a home delivery order early this month, August. I tried three times, to place the order and then I waited all day for the scheduled delivery to arrive. No one bothered to contact me to let me know when the order would show up. I had to try three times before I asked for a refund as I needed the money to buy food elsewhere. I am very poor and live on a small amount of Social Security. Thus the money I was expecting to be refunded was badly needed for food, as I do not have any more money and being old and disabled, I have no way to get more. I was told the refund would occur in 3 to 7 business days. That is a long time to go without food and necessary medicine. As you can readily imagine, I called several times; always being assured the refund was put into the computer and it would arrive anytime soon. After waiting two weeks, I called and demanded something be done. I was told the refund was put in by hand; but when I asked when I could expect the money to be in my account; I was told, once again, I would have to wait 5 to 7 more business days before the money would arrive. At this time I have no expectation I shall ever be paid back. It is clear that I am being jerked around and lied to every time. Vons has no intention of ever paying me back the money they took from my account. I have called repeatedly and always the same lie. I urge caution to anyone who wants to use Vons delivery. Know that Vons will cheat and lie to customers without the slightest concern to the consequences customers suffer. I have had to go nearly the entire month without food, while thet keep my money and refuse to return it. Be forwarned! Sister Anne McFadden.
