Volkswagen of Orange Park Florida covered up wrecked car
1
I bought a used VW at Orange Park VW. I paid top Blue Book. It appeared to be in good shape and had slightly fewer miles than average, (according to the Blue Book price guide.) I had trouble getting insurance because my agent said that according to their computer it had been it a wreck. I did a car fax and it was clean, so was able to get insurance. But subsequently I took it to four different car experts and all of them said that it definitely had been it a wreck. Each car expert showed me something different. It appears that the damage was very extensive. I contacted Car Fax and they said that a car that has been in a wreck is on average worth about $3,000.00 less than if it had not been in a wreck. I contacted the dealer, actually went back three times and they did not care. They offered no sympathy and refused to give me any compensation. Be careful of this dealer. On top of covering up the wreck, they put a beetle owners book in it and when I asked to have one for my model (I bought an EOS) they refused. Car Fax said that they changed the oil, which they did not. The oil was very dirty when they turned the car over to me. Richard Laubaugh r********@yahoo.com
