Visa issue

I am a Canadian citizen with a valid Canadian passport. I have a Nigerian passport but is is expired. Do I need a visa to travel to Nigeria on Lufthansa flight from Calgary to Lagos? User's recommendation: I do urge my friends to fly Lufthansa for reasonable price and safety.
