Vetco lost my dogs records and now refuses to issue a prescription to protect her from Heartworm disease.

I took my dog into a Vetco for immunizations, l requested a prescription for Heartgard medication, the Vet wrote the prescription on a Carbon copied paper with a summary of the immunizations she received. A few months later I ordered through a vet pharmacy her medication, gave the pharmacy the contact information of Vetco and the Doctors name. The Pharmacy contacted Vetco for the prescription, Vetco had no record of the visit. 5 weeks later, numerous calls later, Vetco claims that my pets records are archived and has to uploaded before they can authorize the prescription. I sent a copy of my Carbon copied record I received on the day of visit and Vetco told me they could not authorize a prescription because it was not an original prescription. 5 weeks later, still fighting and struggling to get med for my dog. My lovely dog due to a record error of this poorly ran company is now at risk for Heartworm Disease. I will never trust Vetco to care for my lovely dog again. Shame on Vetco. Angry and annoyed customer. I recommend that other pet owners never consider taking their pets to Vetco.
