Very. Upset Parents

My teen son exhibited uncontrollable twitching, falling down at home fearing he would hurt himself I called triage nurse and Primary who asked me to get him to the closest ER. Seen by nurse and once we got to the back ER doctor asked us to step out so they can ask our son some Questions REALLY our focus was on our son and what’s the reason for these episodes. This behavior followed us to his room being interrogated about not leaving our son alone with them, and the entire time the focus was on us our health asking about his bio parents front of him when I stated to them in ER on paper he doesn’t like to address this subject which made irate as well as his health issue Although I thank them for being there in the time of need their bedside manner was horrible. I would like to know was this proper protocol to ask us to leave our sick child in his time of need? Please address this issue Thank you
