Very unprofessional behaviour in Hospitality industry

I was at Radisson Shimla last week and was very disappointed with the state of affairs there and a very lax attitude of the management. We had given a call directly to Radisson Shimla after getting their number from their official website, our call was transferred to reservations as told by the person who took our call and were told that some one will get in touch with us shortly. After few minutes we get a call from a person named Rahul (Virat) phone number 0906880**** claiming that he is speaking from Radisson and will send me the details of the room category available, tariff and pics of the rooms. He sends everything to us gives us a deal and kept on asking for our credit card details. We paid the advance amount but something prevented me from sharing my credit card details. When we finally landed up there and paid the whole amount in advance we were taken in a room which was short of what was promised to us. The person who was escorting us told us that this is what is available and what has been offered to us does not exist here. Then we showed him the mail which had sofa *** bed written there but he says it is not available. I insisted that I would like to meet the GM and want to file a written complaint but no meeting was arranged with the GM. The guy then tells me that these are sales people and promise something but deliver something. We waited for half an hour and again called the reception for an update. After few minutes another guy comes and inform us that the person who has given us this deal is a travel agent and has nothing to do with Radisson. I was shocked and told him that this is my third visit to this place and every time I book my rooms by calling Radisson directly and I don’t have a travel agent. But it fell to deaf ears. I asked that I would like to check out as I am feeling cheated and somehow lost faith in this hotel. I was told that they would refund me the money and I can check out tomorrow morning. The refund was made and I checked out next day and stayed at some other hotel in Shimla for next three days. The questions which are bothering me are the following: - 1.Why no one from the hotel is interested to find out as to how the call got transferred to an agent.? 2.Who all are involved in this nexus ? 3.Why no service recovery was done rather they were happy that the guests are checking out and they were OK with the refund. 4.Why no one senior met the guests and felt empathetic? 5.The agent has two names Virat and Rahul? Isn’t this a racket. 6.Why the agent has not made me the refund fully? 7.Now that this is being told to the Hotel authorities what action will they take or will ignore it once again.
