Very Corrupt Triangle Scam Company

1

In June 2018 I received a letter telling me that my bank had sold my loan out to American Credit Acceptance. Never heard of them before then and their letter instructed me to send in payments to their Dallas Texas office. Of course that's what my wife and I did. We mailed the US Postal Office money order each month to them. On 2 Aug 2018 our Nissan came up missing out of our driveway. Our first impression was our car was stolen. And it was by American Credit Acceptance ordering a tow company to tow it off and have it auction off. Once I realized what may have happened I called Dallas office and ask them why they did this because I wasn't 2 or 3 months behind on the payments. After reading off a disclosure statement to me and stating I was being recorded they continued to say I owed them $1020.13, plus tow fee and storage fee of $250.00. So, I began to tell the gentlemen I had all my receipts for each month payments and I could fax it to him. He told me because I had receipt doesn't mean they received the payment or the payments were ever posted by American Credit Acceptance. But, he then said, you can fax or email what you have, but very unlikely it will change the fact his company ever received the payments. I continue to explain to him it would take at least 60 days for me to prove these US Post Office money orders were cashed by American Credit Association. And that my receipts were keep in my glove compartment of the Nissan. They finally gave me a phone # to see where my car was towed to. I got the location of my car and was told to bring the keys and get my personal belonging out of the car. Before I could get the receipts I had to turn over my key to the car. This all started on 2 Aug 2018. On a Thursday afternoon, at noon time, and the tow company told me my car would leave their lot on Monday Aug 6 for action. The tow company was closed on the weekend so I had one day and half to get it resolved. Even if I had paid the $1020.13 amount there was a chance the car would be action off before this loan company would post this amount prior to Monday 6 Aug 2018. The tow company told me I had only 3 days before my car would be shipped to action. Remember, this occurred on Thursday evening and American Credit Acceptance was closed on the weekend and so was the towing company. I am a disable American veteran who sincerely feel like he was robbed by a shady corrupt loan company. This was a learning experience for me, and I hope I can save anyone from the same fate I endured.
