Very bad customer service experience.

TwWe arrived at the airport in San Juan Puerto Rico 40 min before our flight. We were told we would need to rebook the flight to the following day. We were very clear we were ok if our bags didnt make it, as we wouldnt stay another night and were certain we could (and would have) made our flight in the 40 min we had. We should have had an option to try. We paid a lot for our delta one flights and our time was completely disregarded. Very disappointing with the experience and lack of concern by Delta. User's recommendation: Make time requirements known on your website if it is a requirement and not a suggestion. Also not noted on the hotel website.
