V500 and V700 Matt

2

I bought a specially mixed deep orange Matt paint for my hallway. It should've been plenty with loads to spare. Not so. The paint went on, thin and streaky, like I've never experienced before. 3 coats were applied and still the streaks showed through. On the 4th coat, the paint blistered and bubbled all over, for no apparent reason. On trying to smooth out the blisters, by roller or brush, the paint lifted off exposing white walls where the bubbles were. I've tried the Matt and then went and bought the more expensive trade version hoping it would behave differently. Another complete waste of money. Same bubbling and peeling. So I now have orange walls covered in masses of white spots and bubbles. It's a total mess. My decorator had spent days carefully painting, repainting and cutting in the orange against contrast white walls . If this had been dulux it'd been two coats and done. He used professional cutting in tape on some areas and when he peeled it back the paint lifted right back to the pre Valspar layer so far that that all also now needs filling and sanding. My walls are ruined. They need to be completely sanded back. I have been so for over a month now too'ing and fro'ing with valspar customer service seeking a solution. I can't get an answer as to why this has happened so I don't know whether to attempt to paint over this awful paint again. It has cost me a fortune already in decorators costs and my walls are still a complete mess and I'm left not knowing what to do next. The customer service is shocking. Ive waited weeks for a reply and the reply, once Received, is pure lip service and ‘envelope pushing'. The last email, again didn't respond or try and come up with a suggestion/solution/reason but merely asked for my home address so that they could send me vouchers. For what exactly I do not know. More valspar paint. I think not!! Who on Earth in the 21st century sends paper vouchers anymore anyway ! I'm still stuck with an expensive decorating bill and likely more costs to pay to remedy the walls and walls that still look absolutely horrendous. What are Valspar going to do about this please ? What do I do with my ruined walls ?
