All the reviews I see of splat hair dye is mainly how it didnt take to my hair or it got all over its on my walls, floor and ceiling! My tub is stained purple/blue now And even it dyed my skin! Now I have purple/blue patches on my scalp and face that wont come off The only reason it probably didnt take to your hair is it was wet before you tried to dye it or you washed your hair with a shampoo that is full of sulfates which makes the color fade faster and could also make the color come out of your hair more than it should have and if you doused your hair like you should have to get it completely covered then there would be a lot of solid color going down the drain but after a while it will be more watered down and as you shampoo (quick dont leave it in long) it shouldnt look like the solid color it should still be watered down and the same with the conditioner For the walls floor and ceiling How did you get it on the ceiling Ive accidentally got it on my wall and floor by knocking the bottle over and trying to get the last bit out but never the ceiling hint just be more careful and maybe try the painting method with a bowl and a paint brush no squeezing a bottle necessary you dont even have to break the top part and can save the rest that you didnt use Your tub shouldnt be stained my tub is the white plastic kind and all the purple washes away as I shower the water being mixed should prevent it from staining When you get the dye on your hands or even face and ears I just scrub with my body wash any should work Ive changed mine 3 times and they all worked I dont use gloves while I rinse out my hair and my hands look like I killed a smurf if they bled purple like blueberries after using body wash 2 times its almost all off and by the time Im out of the shower my hands arent purple nor is my face neck or shoulders even the spots on my arms a doused hair got If you dont like it messy maybe try to do it a little slower maybe even get some help with it the back can be hard to get done without patches, try a different technique, maybe use a toothbrush or mascara wand to do your roots around your face Use it smarter than you would with a normal color And I dont worry about dying my towels or shirt when I washed my dye towel the first time there was no purple on it like it never happened I use Midnight Amethyst and I love the color that comes out to it starts out like an ultra violet and looks different in different lighting when it fades Ive ended up with an almost pink color on my tips from having platinum tips before the purple color but the more I dye my roots and over the purple that lightened to what the box shows it stays more purple and ends up the purple to pink ombré I love I do leave it in my hair a bit longer to get it to really get into my hair and I tried using the heat setting in my hair dryer to help as well I recommend it Im not bleaching it as of right now to get it bright purple since theres no need with midnight amethyst The smell is actually pleasant its not eye burning or anything I dont have to leave the bathroom in process because of the smell It does take time to put in your hair but thats because I have a lot and you need to use a lot to get it to cover It would be nice it the cap had a smaller nozzle and even a screw on cap so you can use the rest later I actually had a cap from a different hair dye brand bottle that fit so I use that one instead The gloves suck I will not use them the first time I used them the seams ripped and I got purple in between my fingers now I use blue rubber gloves that only break from running my fingers and nails through my hair but thats my issue Not enough conditioner in the box for one wash of long hair Even if the dye doesnt get all strands of hair it ends up with some cool streaks that arent chunky or anything they blend really well
