Had a home built (The Amberwood) in 2018 by Pulte. The workers who built my home left bottles of *** in the closets and would turn the air conditioner up with doors and windows left open causing condensation to build. Had to talk with the builder, who initially blamed the children in the neighborhood (all preschool, K-5) and said he would come by daily to close up the house. On the final walk-through, I pointed out the draft from the front door, the builder looked at it, saw that the workman installed the door jam and broke off the screw, which now does not allow for any adjustments. Builder asked me to sign off anyway and he would make sure the issue was repaired. Constantly contacted warrantee department and on my year end walk-through sent a letter again stating the repair. Pulte sent someone to look at the door, and I was informed a new door jam would need to be replaced, and that it was on order, that was six months ago. I have called several times, leaving messages, earlier in, I received two phone calls, with the Pulte representative stating they thought it was fixed, later stated, the part would be shipped to my house and I should call when it arrives. THE PART NEVER ARRIVED, I doubt they ordered the part. For the past three months, Pulte does not answer or return calls. In addition, the cheap Gerber toilets they put in, caused a leak (even after they so-called repaired them) and continually clogged. I paid and had three American Standard toilets installed, and have not had a problem since. The middle bedroom window is off-centered, on a wall and the recessed lights Pulte installed are not centered in my dining room. Pulte installs the cheapest fixtures and appliances they can, then charge as though it is high-end. The model homes must have installation in the interior walls, but Pulte does not put installation in the walls in any other homes they build, I know this because I can hear through the walls in my home, and I was not able to hear through the walls in the model homes. Once I signed the documents to begin construction, the Pulte representative Shandra Roach, could not answer phone calls, emails, or text messages. I had to just show up to bring issues by showing photos of what I was finding at the build site, otherwise, she would dismiss my problem. Be prepared to pay through the nose for any upgrade and talk with other representatives regarding your picks for your residence, because in my case Shandra Roach would only offer me what she wanted to get the sales. The only positive, the layout of the homes is awesome.
