To whom it may Concern, If anyone is considering hiring a vehicle from Asco Car Hire, B-Mobile (now Asco ownership) and Value Car hire. I would advise you not to pay the full amount or to read the contract very carefully. The maximum insurance cover does not cover quite a few important items. If you do have an accident 90 % of the time they will find something that is not covered and bill you for it. Also if you have booked a vehicle and transfers they forget to pick you up or double book a car. Service is terrible and very unfriendly. Another point of concern is the one way pick up or drop off fee. When picking up a vehicle outside Windhoek they charge you for the fuel and food the driver uses. So it looks cheaper than all other companies but in the end it works out more expensive. Most reputable companies add all these costs and are included in the one way pick up fee. If you return the vehicle take photos of all sides. You will get hit with damages when the car is returned to the depot. If you are most unfortunate to have an one side accident (no other vehicle involved and its your fault) well i feel sorry for you as they will find lots of damage that is not covered by insurance and they will bill you. I hope this helps if anyone is thinking of hiring a vehicle from Asco or Asco related companies. Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way.
