UnReal Energy Savings

I was offered to switch to this outfit by Amaren, my utility company; it's a 24 month contract. Not only did I not save money, but when I called them to cancel it's essentially impossible to speak directly to someone on the phone. They get back in touch with you at their convenience. I sent them an email with the account number clearly indicated on the subject line, demanding that I wanted the account cancelled. And they emailed me back, saying they'd "look into it"; could I please give them the account number? I was infuriated and sent them a reply in 48 point all caps with the !@#$%^&*(*&^%ing account number so that even an imbecile couldn't miss it ... and then forwarded it to them eleven more times. I will still have to pay a cancellation fee since I did not jump through their hoops in April; apparently all their contracts run from April to April and they do in fact have that posted on their site. Bottom line: they claim to save you money; they don't; you can't reach them by phone or online chat directly, and they'd just as soon charge you a cancellation fee as look at you. If it feels, sounds, looks, tastes and smells like a scam, guess what? IT'S A SCAM. STAY FAR, FAR away from these guys unless you enjoy being gouged.
