Unprofessional, let you lay there and die my mother was with heartland hospice Shawnee my mother was seen on a Saturday by A heartland hospice nurse who told me my mother was at her end of day not much they can do for her at this point, my mother has chronic UTI also has congestive heart My mother was burning up with a temperature that Saturday they said that they would get medication there for the infection,Also I ask if my mother needed a breathing treatment the nurse told me no at this point it would do no good five hours later, We still had no medication for her UTI I know my mother and her symptoms this was a urinary track infection and a need for a breathing treatment they were going to let my mother lay there and die and prescribed morphine so that she basically would be in a drug induced coma she said that morphine would help her heart finally after waiting five hours for the medication that never arrived I called and told them I was taking my mother to the emergency room we took her in the ambulance because she was incoherent lethargic and burning up with a temperature the first thing that the hospital did was give her a breathing treatment and put her on IV anabiotic’s I call to see if they were going to reinstate my mother because she was released from the hospital on Monday doing 100% better I called and I text did get no response so today on Thursday they tell me that they are releasing my mother for Home health care now mind you home healthcare could not take care of my mother they called every three hours telling me I need to take my mother to the emergency room when I had just previously came home with her the night before but they called me at least once a day if not more than that but heartland hospice wants to put her back on home health but they did not even have the professionalism to call and tell me what their plans were they would let my mother basically run out of her medication and be unprofessional with what they do I would never in my life to just anybody use this Hospice the very least they could’ve done was give us a phone call and Since they had missed diagnosed my mother they never should have released her to go to home health very unstable company they also lay off their employees during Christmas time never never never what I ever want anybody to use this company
