I asked U-bag South Africa to help me with the transportation of my personal Goods to Canada where I was to take up permanent residency in April 2012. After arriving in Canada, I was contacted by cargolution who are apparently U-bag's Canadian agent . They first told me my goods would arrive on the 6th of April but then nothing happened. I was then told it would arrive arrive on the 10th of April but it didn't arrive. They thereafter they promised to call me as soon as my goods arrived but in fact never did and I ended up calling them after I tracked it online.Meanwhile they had informed me a week before that they'd send me send me some documents that I needed to show to customs when my goods arrived but never bothered to until today and then after a lot of prodding on my part. I received an e-mail y''day asking if I wanted me goods delievered to my door from the airport and I said that I didn't. It was after this that I was suddenly told that I had to pay "arrival fees" of $350. I also asked where this was comig from as this was the first time this was being brought to my attention. I also asked for documentary evidence to back up their assertion that I had to pay the said "arrival fees" as well as a breakdown of the said "arrival fee" amongst other questions posed to them in a number of e-mails sent today. They, as expected, could not give me a clear answer or provide any of the things requested for, nor could their co-conspirators;(U-bag in South Africa. Yet despite this, they insist that they would not release my goods to me if I do not pay them this unlawful "arrival fee". I thought I had left all the lawlessness and crookery in South Africa, but I guess birds of the same plummage flock together. So sad to see things like this happen in Canada too. PLS DO NOT USE U-BAG OR CARGOLUTION, they are going to try to rip you off!!
